Salem April Fool's Race

Take part in one of the oldest races around. This race offers a 10K, 5K, and a children's 1-mile run.

$25 registration on race day; $20 if registered before March 28, 2023; $6 for 1 mile race (pre-race or race day)

About this event

Take part in one of the oldest races around. This race offers a 10K, 5K, and a children's 1-mile run.

Race Starting Times

  • 9am: 10K Race
  • 10am: 1-mile children's race (ages 14 and under)
  • 10:30am: 5K Race

Entry Fees

  • $15 registration on race day
  • $12 if registered before April 4th
  • $6 for 1-mile race (pre-race or race day)

You can run in two races for one entry fee.

All entrants will receive an April Fool's tee-shirt. Child medium and large are available.

Additional Info

The 1-mile course is run on all school grounds. It starts with one lap around the track, continues out the driveway to the high school wing, and returns to the finish line at the bus garage.

Proceeds support the Rotary student exchange program and the Salem Central School Class of 2025.
