{"id":3900,"date":"2009-07-19T19:16:57","date_gmt":"2009-07-19T23:16:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/foodie-blog\/2009\/07\/rhinebeck.html"},"modified":"2009-07-19T19:16:57","modified_gmt":"2009-07-19T23:16:57","slug":"rhinebeck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/foodie-blog\/2009\/07\/rhinebeck\/","title":{"rendered":"rhinebeck"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>another road trip&#8230;this one with my friend, ann and bodie, the dog, who was a magnet for animal lovers and many people who wondered what kind of dog he is. the nature of the trip was to meet my college roomie, jane, from alexandria, va.. we met at the famous beekman arms hotel, very old with the most gorgeous flowers and plantings in the front yard. sitting outside at a table with an extra large umbrella, dog lying at my feet, conversing with two wonderful friends with the amazing flowers all around&#8230;it could not get any better. for lunch, jane and i ordered crabcake burgers with jicama slaw and remoulade. ann chose the cobb salad. we all had lemonade and potato salad. quite delicious.<br \/>\nafter lunch, we walked around the main street, even stopping at a farmers&#8217; market. but the big attraction was my goldendoodle! everyone, literally, stopped to ask about him and could they pet him. what a friendly face, feel how soft, well-mannered pup, is that a labradoodle, look at those feet, is he always this calm, where did you get him&#8230;..one person actually wondered how much i paid for him. my friends were amazed at all the attention bodie was getting. we decided that rhinebeck is an unusually dog-friendly town. he was one of many dogs walking the streets with loving owners. the nice thing about the town is how shaded the streets are. beautiful trees make a canopy so the streets are cool and inviting and benches are plentiful for people watching and resting. the temperature posted 87 degrees, but with no humidity, it was a comfortable, and perfect day. rhinebeck rocks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>another road trip&#8230;this one with my friend, ann and bodie, the dog, who was a magnet for animal lovers and many people who wondered what kind of dog he is. the nature of the trip was to meet my college&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":176,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\r\n<title>rhinebeck - Glens Falls Foodie Blog - Recipes Plus Cooking &amp;
