after i was left short-handed last week with the exit of 2 employees, i became anxious….for a minute. then along came 2 old friends, with many years of delicious meals and thousands of cookies lovingly prepared. one friend said she had a couple of hours to spare and did i have something she could do. you bet i had something to do…..soft molasses cookies. she was definitely up for that as she declared her love for those special cookies. and what a great job she did. the other friend actually did work at the cafe for a time and did all the baking. she would make peanut blossoms and visit with the other friend, who she already knew from years ago. it was win-win for everyone and i was the happiest of all! thanks to old dear friends. cookies anyone?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
