as of october 1, i do not have to get out of bed in the dark.. for 26 years, that has not been the case. to me, that is the most exciting aspect of retirement. the loss of stress-related facts comes in second. no more payroll concerns, no more worrying that i did not make enough food for the client, no more worrying whether the worker-bees would come to work, or not, no more thinking about an exciting soup that i would create and, especially…no more concerns about rent and insurance. if i want to drive to glens falls at 16mpg (roughly 400 dollars each month) i can and if i choose to walk instead to the post office here in bolton…well, i do. for something exciting as a winter project, a group of us are doing memoir writing on mondays. everyone is welcome. i actually toyed with a run for political office, but didn’t get my act together soon enough. besides, i am in the wrong political party for positive outcome, but i did think about it. i will continue to write a blog, partly because it is something to do and more importantly, because i have a lot to say.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
