The physicians, midwives and staff of North Country Obstetrics & Gynecology officially joined Hudson Headwaters in July, making its 90 South St., Glens Falls, location the 16th Hudson Headwaters’ Health Center.<\/p>\n
That means full-service women’s health care is available in two convenient locations: 90 South St. in Glens Falls and at the Warrensburg Health Center, Hudson Headwaters officials said.<\/p>\n
“We are ‘over the moon’ to add these five highly skilled OB\/GYN practitioners to our team,” said Dr. John Rugge, CEO of Hudson Headwaters. “This is a hugely beneficial step for our patients. It will greatly improve access to these services for women throughout the region, including those who do not have health insurance.”
\nThe new Hudson Headwaters’ practitioners include midwives Lynette Biss, CNM, and Claudia Gersten, FNP, CNM, MSN, as well as physicians Dr. Michael J. Finkowski, Dr. Danielle Goertzen and Dr. Anne Soucy.<\/p>\n
They join the Hudson Headwaters’ women’s care team that includes OB\/GYN specialist Dr. Edward “Ted” Denious, and midwives McKenzie Jones, CNM, MSN, and Kathryn Kernan, CNM, MSN.<\/p>\n
“Expanding our ability to provide obstetric and gynecological care is a big part of our approach to comprehensive primary care,” Rugge said.<\/p>\n
He noted that the addition of North Country OB\/GYN will increase the number of births handled by Hudson Headwaters’ physicians and nurse midwives by 500 percent.<\/p>\n
“We are excited to join the area’s largest and most comprehensive primary care practice,” said Dr. Finkowski, senior physician at North Country OB\/GYN. “Together, we will continue to provide high-quality care for every stage of a woman’s life: gynecological services, births and follow-up care.”<\/p>\n
