After successfully operating a similar business for seven years in New Jersey, he said the timing was right to make the move to Hudson Falls.<\/p>\n<p>Webit America buys tractor trailer quantities of merchandise from the largest big box retailers and ships it to the Hudson Falls warehouse.<\/p>\n<p>They then sell items online and directly to the public. Approximately 90 percent of the online merchandise is advertised at a fixed price, with some items put up for auction. LaRocca opened his doors for business in June. Within the first three months, Webit became UPS&#8217; largest customer in Hudson Falls and business continues to grow at a fast pace, he said.<\/p>\n<p>While the majority of their business is conducted online &#8211; they are a top-rated seller on eBay &#8211; they warehouse all of their merchandise at 56 North St. in Hudson Falls, where they already employ nine people.<\/p>\n<p>The bricks and mortar location on North Street holds approximately 3,000 items at any given time, with a wide assortment of products ranging from, as LaRocca said, &#8220;forks to furniture to zero turn lawn mowers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Webit America expects to hold monthly liquidation sales at its warehouse location, which will be advertised both online and in local papers.<\/p>\n<p>LaRocca attributes his ongoing success to excellent customer service, prompt and reliable shipping, and high quality products that are accurately represented. What the customer sees online is what the customer gets.<\/p>\n<p>He said there are no unpleasant surprises when a customer receives his or her purchase. &#8220;We never sell anything that is broken or defective,&#8221; noted LaRocca. &#8220;Every item that is received in our warehouse is carefully inspected before we put it up for resale.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If the item doesn&#8217;t pass muster, it is not re-sold to the public. All defective merchandise is sold to salvage companies for recycling.<\/p>\n<p>Webit America hopes to continue its rapid growth and anticipates adding 15-20 full-time data entry and shipping and receiving jobs. They are also currently in the process of developing a website.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve grown so rapidly and been so busy since we opened for business, we&#8217;re just now getting our company website built,&#8221; said LaRocca.<\/p>\n<p>Find out more about Webit America by Googling them or by visiting their eBay location.
