Gallery owner Jeff Anderson says the show will feature the artists of the Shirt Factory in a theme inspired by both the Adirondack Balloon Festival, and the incredible creative and artistic energy that is housed inside the old building at the corner of Lawrence and Cooper Streets in Glens Falls.<br \/>\n&#8220;Flights of Fancy&#8221; will be a multimedia experience featuring stone carvings, fabric art, paintings from several critically acclaimed TSF artists, as well as clay art\/ pottery and photography. Artists have been encouraged to interpret the theme loosely, and to have their own &#8220;flight of fancy&#8221; in creating work for the show. &#8220;I have seen some of the work in the making for this show, and I am incredibly excited to have it all in one place. This promises to be really fun&#8221;, says Anderson. He also wants visitors to remember to &#8220;look up!&#8221; as he promises the show theme will remain in his mind as he hangs the incoming work.<\/p>\n<p>The opening of the show is set to coincide with LocalFest, a celebration of all things made in Glens Falls, which is being hosted by The Shirt Factory on Saturday, September 8th. It also will run during the Adirondack Balloon Festival two weeks later. &#8220;Flights of Fancy&#8221; will end its run on Saturday, October 6th. JAG\/ The Jeffrey Anderson Gallery is located in suite 110 of the Shirt Factory at 71 Lawrence St in Glens Falls.. It is open from 11am to 5pm Wednesdays through Saturdays, and by appointment.
