A team organized by Glens Falls National
\nBank<\/strong> employees collected supplies and raised
\nnearly $550 for Operation Adopt A Soldier through
\nits participation in the 196-mile Ragnar Relay
\nAdirondacks in September.<\/p>\n

The team of 12, dubbed the Happy Feet Running
\nTeam, included Glens Falls National employees
\nHeather Bala, Amy Gould and Melissa Kwasniewski,
\nalong with friends and family members.<\/p>\n

Together they collected $546 and five boxes of
\nsupplies for Operation Adopt A Soldier, which ships
\ncare packages to troops stationed overseas. The
\nbank’s Argyle, Granville, Greenwich, Lake George,
\nSalem, South Glens Falls and Washington County
\nOffi ces assisted with the collections.<\/p>\n

“Happy Feet Running Team” finished the
\novernight endurance challenge in 30:19:58. They
\nwere among over 200 teams to complete the race,
\nwhich began in Saratoga Springs and ended in
\nLake Placid.<\/p>\n

The Granville office of Glens Falls National
\nBank and Trust Co<\/strong>. raised nearly $800 and supported
\nthe fight against cancer during a Community
\nAppreciation Day on Oct. 11.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from multiple basket raffles and the
\nsale of silicone bracelets generated a total of $776
\nfor the Image Fund at Glens Falls Hospital’s C.R.
\nWood Cancer Center, which assists local cancer
\npatients with a wide range of services, bank officials said.<\/p>\n

In addition, a representative from the Be The
\nMatch program enrolled seven volunteers in the
\nnational bone marrow donor registry, and a photo
\ndisplay honoring loved ones impacted by cancer
\nwas featured in the lobby.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Mannix Marketing, Inc<\/strong>. was ranked among
\nthe top 20 recognized leaders in the digital marketing
\nindustry nationwide. At an awards ceremony
\nin October, Mannix Marketing was announced
\nthe winner of the “Best Use Of Search – Retail”
\ncategory for their work with Atlantic British and
\ntheir website RoverParts.com.<\/p>\n

This is the first year of these industry awards in
\nthe United States after a successful launch of the
\nawards in the United Kingdom and Europe. The
\nawards are delivered in association with Pubcon
\nLas Vegas and joint sponsors Manual Link Building
\nand Majestic SEO. The awards are also supported
\nby SEMPO and will recognize and reward organizations,
\nagencies and individuals based or working
\nin the U.S. search and digital marketing industry.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

For the 18th straight year, area residents have
\nidentified Albany Medical Center<\/strong> as their
\ntop choice for quality health care services with
\nthe Consumer Choice Award from the National
\nResearch Corp. Albany Med is the only hospital
\nin northeastern New York to receive this award.<\/p>\n

The National Research Corp. annually gives
\nConsumer Choice Awards for the most preferred
\nhospitals in more than 300 U.S. markets based on
\nsurveys of households in each region. Winners are
\ndetermined by consumer perceptions on multiple
\nquality and image ratings, including: best overall
\nquality, best image and reputation, best doctors,
\nand best nurses.<\/p>\n

The National Research Corp. has more than two
\ndecades of experience in health care performance
\nmeasurement and improvement. The names of the
\nConsumer Choice winners are published in this
\nmonth’s Modern Healthcare magazine.\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The Washington County office of Glens Falls
\nNational Bank and Trust Co<\/strong>. at 343 Broadway
\nin Fort Edward celebrated its 50th anniversary and
\nraised money for a local nonprofit during a 1960’s themed
\nCommunity Appreciation Day on Oct. 24.<\/p>\n

A basket raffle and other fundraising activities
\ngenerated over $253 as well as a box of supplies
\nfor the Pumpkin Fund, which assists sick and
\ninjured pets. The Community Appreciation Day
\nalso included free Stewart’s ice cream cones and
\na Fort Edward Fire Department truck to promote
