Hudson River Community Credit Union
\n(HRCCU) and the Credit Union Association
\nof New York (CUANY) are again offering
\nscholarships to area high school seniors.<\/p>\n
Applications for the 2014 programs are
\nnow available at guidance offices of high
\nschools in the HRCCU service area and
\nonline at hrccu.org.<\/p>\n
The CUANY Scholarship Program makes
\navailable scholarship awards of $1,000 and
\n$500 to eligible high school seniors across
\nNew York state. Awards are determined by
\napplicant scholastic achievement, character,
\ncommunity involvement, leadership
\nqualities and financial need.
\nScholarship applications will be accepted
\nuntil Jan. 17.
\nIn conjunction with the Credit Union Association of New York’s scholarship program, HRCCU offers its own scholarships. The credit union will award $1,000 to five students and $1,000 to one recipient of the Making Life Better Scholarship.<\/p>\n
To be eligible, a student must be an HRCCU member in good standing, be a college-bound high school senior to either a two-year or four-year accredited educational institution and attending college for the first time in the fall of 2014. Those scholarship applications will be accepted until April 11.<\/p>\n
