The Fun Spot in Queensbury opened its new, high-tech laser tag attraction in late December.<\/p>\n
The Fun Spot, 1035 Route 9, owned and operated by Keith Ferraro and Alyssa Park, had operated their laser tag attraction with the Lasertron LT-10 system and single-level arena for over 12 years. It now offers a new state-of-the art laser tag attraction.<\/p>\n
Over the years Ferraro attended several Lasertron Entertainment Center conferences which offered educational material and industry information. He also made additional visits to Lasertron, which is based in Buffalo, to research the new Lasertron LT-12 laser tag system in person and to learn more about Lasertron’s new LED-illuminated arenas.
\nFerraro made the decision to have Lasertron design and install a cool, multi-level laser tag arena and at the same time update their older laser tag game system.
\nThe Lasertron LT-12 vests are Lasertron’s newest model which offers superior mp3 sound effects and announcements, a full color OLED display on the phaser, five vibrators that allow participants to detect which direction they are being tagged from, red and green lasers, 12 chip modes which give the players different power-ups, and more, Lasertron officials said.<\/p>\n
“We wanted to offer our clients a great laser tag experience. Our new custom, multi-level Lasertron LED Illuminated arena does just that,” said Ferraro. “The end result is even better than I expected.<\/p>\n
The Fun Spot, a 1,500-square-foot multi-level structure, has 12 different interactive attractions, including swings, slides and even a magic carpet.<\/p>\n
It is a licensed day care provider. They are finishing construction on new day care classrooms for ages 3-5 to compliment the extremely popular after school and summer camp programs for children. Camp Fun Spot is “the after school and summer camp program kids never want to leave”.<\/p>\n
There are outside attractions as well, like go-karts and adventure golf.<\/p>\n
