RealtyUSA announced it has merged the local
\nreal estate franchise Weichert Realtors-Northeast,
\nCapital Region offices with RealtyUSA.
\nThe move became effective Sept. 17.<\/p>\n
Officials said the merger follows many successful
\nyears as an affiliate Weichert franchisee
\nand the expiration of the franchise agreement.<\/p>\n
Weichert Realtors-Northeast agents will
\ncontinue to service their clients with the enhanced
\nproducts and services of RealtyUSA
\nand a broader Upstate New York market reach,
\nthe groups said.
\nAfter growing a successful company over the
\npast 25 years and after much due diligence,
\nDoug Engels and Peter Staniels, co-owners
\nand operators of local real estate franchise
\nWeichert Realtors-Northeast, and their team of
\napproximately 65 Realtors and professional staff
\nwill join RealtyUSA’s Capital Region sales force.<\/p>\n
Officials said the new RealtyUSA agents will
\ncontinue to operate out of their former Weichert
\nlocations in Guilderland, Clifton Park and
\nSaratoga, bringing the number of RealtyUSA
\noffices serving the Capital District to 12, and
\nincreasing their local market share to just over 23 percent.<\/p>\n
“I am excited about the opportunity to work
\nwith the management team and all of the
\nagents and staff at Realty USA,” Engels said.

\ncome together and create new synergies and
\nmarket place dynamics everyone benefits. Peter
\nStaniels and I built our company over the last
\n25 years and I look forward to this new era with
\nRealtyUSA.”<\/p>\n
Staniels said after years of doing business
\nwith agents and managers of RealtyUSA, “I have
\ngreat respect and admiration for what they have
\naccomplished. I also have many friends there
\nas a result. It just makes sense that we work
\ntogether now.”<\/p>\n
