Located on the<br \/>\nninth floor of the downtown building, the<br \/>\ncenter provides panoramic views of the<br \/>\nlandscape.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Lefebvre was awed by the beauty<br \/>\nthe space provided and knew he had to<br \/>\nconvert it into something the public could<br \/>\nenjoy. He opened the space in the summer<br \/>\nas Tower Event Center at 333 Glen St. in<br \/>\nGlens Falls.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the center offers a weekly<br \/>\nSunday brunch. Diners can choose from<br \/>\nclassic American breakfast foods like pancakes,<br \/>\nomelets, bagels, bacon and sausage,<br \/>\nsalads and a carving station with turkey<br \/>\nand ham. There are weekly specials, a<br \/>\nchildren&#8217;s buffet and desserts.<br \/>\nLefebvre said he did not intend for the<br \/>\nfacility to be a traditional restaurant. Instead,<br \/>\nhe uses the brunch as a marketing<br \/>\ntool. He believes if people come in and see<br \/>\nthe spectacular views, they will tell others<br \/>\nand come back again.<\/p>\n<p>He said the facility has seen a tremendous<br \/>\namount of success since its opening.<br \/>\n&#8220;It was way more successful than I anticipated,&#8221;<br \/>\nsaid Lefebvre.<\/p>\n<p>The facility is mainly used for special<br \/>\nevents. Among the events held thus far<br \/>\nwas a 50th class reunion from Glens Falls<br \/>\nHigh School. Upcoming events include the<br \/>\nkickoff of the Adirondack Flames season<br \/>\nand corporate holiday parties.<\/p>\n<p>The space can accommodate up to 220 people. There is room for dancing and a<br \/>\nbuffet line. The facility has a bar and offers<br \/>\nmixed drinks and beer. There is free<br \/>\nparking available, as well as valet parking.<\/p>\n<p>Tower Event Center is a two block walk<br \/>\nto the Glens Falls Civic Center. Lefebvre<br \/>\nsaid it is perfect for people who want to<br \/>\neat, grab a drink, park their car, and then<br \/>\nwalk to an event at the center.<\/p>\n<p>Lefebvre owns two other companies in<br \/>\nthe building &#8211; Total Benefit Management,<br \/>\na human resources company, and Trucking<br \/>\nSupport Services, a truck leasing company.<br \/>\n&#8220;I needed something new. I decided to<br \/>\nget into the restaurant business,&#8221; said<br \/>\nLefebvre. &#8220;It keeps you young.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lefebvre said he believes in thinking<br \/>\noutside the box. He opened Tower Caf\u00c3\u00a9<br \/>\nin March on the second floor of the same<br \/>\nbuilding. The Tower Caf\u00c3\u00a9 offers breakfast<br \/>\nand lunch on a daily basis, including sandwiches,<br \/>\nsalads, and burgers.<\/p>\n<p>Next month the restaurant will start<br \/>\nTower2Go. Customers can order a meal<br \/>\nin the morning, and pick it up in the evening<br \/>\nto take home.
