Representatives of four businesses accepted awards at the Small Business of the Year Awards ceremony done by the Washington County Local Development Corp. and ARCC\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Three companies were recognized by the
\nWashington County Local Development Corp.
\nand the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce
\nwith Small Business of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n

The ceremony took place on Dec. 12 at The
\nKingsbury Fire Department in Hudson Falls to
\nhonor the winners and to celebrate all of the
\nbusinesses nominated this year.<\/p>\n

The 2014 Winners honored are Granville
\nVeterinary Service PC in Granville; Harrington’s
\nCare A Lot Child Care Center in Hudson
\nFalls and Helping Hands Physical Therapy in
\nGreenwich. In addition, a Lifetime Community Commitment
\nAward was given to Salem Hardware &
\nSupply Co. in Salem.
\nThe 2014 nominees recognized at the event
\nwere Argyle Brewing Company LLC in Greenwich;
\nChippewa Stone in Whitehall; Cormie Insurance
\nAgency in Hudson Falls; Country Gals
\nCaf\u00c3\u00a9 in Cambridge; Country Peddler Shoppes
\nInc. in Greenwich; the Flower Shop @ Laura’s
\nGarden in Salem, and Kelly’s Emerald Feeds,
\nLLC in Kingsbury.<\/p>\n

Granville Veterinary Service works with New
\nYork and Vermont equine and livestock owners
\nfor both routine and emergency care needs. The
\nclinic offers care provided by four licensed and
\nexperienced veterinarians and assistance from
\nthree office staff. The owners, Dr. Sarah Jensen and Dr. John McDermott, accepted the award.<\/p>\n

Harrington’s Care A Lot Child Care Center
\nworks with infants, toddlers and children 3-5
\nyears, providing a structured schedule of care
\nand activities, where age appropriate. They
\nalso provide before-school and after-school
\ncare for school-age children. Kendra, Lisa
\nand Bill Harrington and Kim Hunt accepted
\nthe award.<\/p>\n

Helping Hands Physical Therapy strives to
\nprovide a whole body approach to rehabilitation.
\nThrough manual techniques and comprehensive
\nexercises, the staff utilizes time with
\npatients to ensure optimal outcomes. Barb
\nHamel accepted the award.<\/p>\n

Salem Hardware & Supply Co. at 200 Main
\nSt. in Salem is a TruValue affiliate that provides
\na full range of supplies including electrical
\nand plumbing supplies, appliances, hand and
\npower tools, outdoor patio furniture, painting
\nsupplies and much more. Owners Dave Linendoll
\nand Kyle Hunter accepted the award.<\/p>\n

Platinum level sponsors for the event were
\nAdirondack Technical Solutions and Glens
\nFalls National Bank & Trust Co. Silver level
\nsponsors were Currin Compliance Services;
\nFort Hudson Health Systems and Robinson &
\nSon. Items were donated to awards event by
\nAdirondack Broadcasting, Adirondack Flower
\nand Nims Services.<\/p>\n
