The Greenwich Office of Glens Falls National
\nBank and Trust Co. raised over $600
\nfor Operation Rudolph during its Community
\nAppreciation Day in November.<\/p>\n
A basket raffle generated $640 for the Greenwich
\nCentral School program, which distributes
\ngifts and food to local families during the holidays.
\nA representative attended with Operation
\nRudolph information.<\/p>\n
Also, the Schuylerville office raised over
\n$3,000 for the Schuylerville Area Food and
\nEmergency Relief Group (SAFER) as part of its
\nCommunity Appreciation activities.
\nA raffle generated $3,225 for SAFER. In
\naddition, the branch hosted a balloon-release
\nceremony with Schuylerville Central School
\nstudents to acknowledge SAFER’s commitment
\nto ending hunger.<\/p>\n
This is the fourth year the branch has held
\nfundraising activities to support SAFER, raising
\na total of over $10,000 to date. SAFER uses the
\ndonations to purchase food at a deep discount
\nfrom the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern
\nNew York. For example, $10,000 in cash equates
\nto about $100,000 worth of food for the community.<\/p>\n
The Lake Luzerne office of the bank and
\ncollected donations for the Lions Club and
\nMaxfield Community Food Pantry during its
\nholiday-themed Community Appreciation Day
\non Dec. 5.

Various fundraising activities generated close
\nto 50 hat\/mitten donations for the Lions Club, as
\nwell as five boxes of food plus some cash donations
