GlobalFoundries, a provider of advanced
\nsemiconductor manufacturing, design and technology
\nsolutions, announced a partnership with
\nInvecas Inc., a newly formed design services
\nprovider focused on accelerating customer
\nintroduction of new products on leading-edge
\nsemiconductor process technologies. Invecas
\nwill operate multiple system-on-chip design
\nservice centers in both the United States and
\nIndia to provide exclusive support for GlobalFoundries customers.<\/p>\n
The companies said the new partnership is
\nintended to serve a variety of customers across
\nmultiple market segments, from small fabless
\ncompanies with limited internal resources to
\nlarge systems companies seeking to differentiate
\ntheir products through customized silicon.
\nInvecas will focus on offering design services
\nfor GlobalFoundries’ processes including 14nm
\nFinFET, addressing multiple market segments
\nincluding high-performance computing, consumer
\nelectronics, and mobile communications.<\/p>\n
Invecas will operate design service centers in
\nSanta Clara, Calif., Burlington, Vt., Bangalore,
\nIndia and Hyderabad, India. Invecas design centers
