Berkshire Bank, which offices in Glens Falls
\nand Queensbury, promoted Heather Lashway to
\nthe new role of first vice president, retail banking
\ndistrict manager, New York and Vermont.<\/p>\n

In this new position, Lashway will lead
\nBerkshire’s New York and Vermont branches
\nand regional managers, along with her continued
\nleadership of Berkshire Bank Investment
\nServices team.<\/p>\n

Lashway will have an active role in the
\ncreation and implementation of the strategic
\ndirection of sales and service initiatives for the
\nNew York and Vermont marketplace, bank officials
\nsaid. In addition, the position will provide
\nongoing support and guidance for the operations,
\nstaff management, and sales and customer
\nservice for branches within the district.
\nLashway will also be responsible for the
\ndesign, implementation and support of new
\nproducts and services for regional campaigns.<\/p>\n

“Heather’s experience will strengthen the
\ndistrict by providing a high level of expertise in
\nlarge scale initiatives, operations efficiencies
\nand maximizing the customers’ experience
\nthrough all services dedicated to the retail
\nmarket. Her strength in leadership, sales performance
\nand communication will drive market
\nleading performance across retail banking in
\nNew York and Vermont,” said Tami Gunsch,
\nsenior vice president, retail banking, on the
\nappointment.<\/p>\n

Lashway joined Berkshire Bank as vice president, regional manager, New York Region,
\nin 2011, bringing 17 years of experience in retail
\nbanking. In 2013, the Albany Business Review
\nnamed Lashway to the prestigious list of “Forty
\nUnder Forty” honorees. Prior to joining Berkshire,
\nshe was with Citizens Financial Group,
\nwhere she served as senior vice president, sales
\nmanager for 225 branches in New York and Pennsylvania.
\nLashway earned her bachelor’s degree
\nin accounting from Saint Michael’s College.<\/p>\n
