Tom Smith, owner of Monkey Wrench Auto
\nSports, says he has been an “auto enthusiast”
\nhis entire life. He is now taking his passion
\nfor cars and turning it into a business in
\nQueensbury, where he says no job is turned
\naway.<\/p>\n

“Where there is a wheel, there’s a way,”
\nsaid Smith.<\/p>\n

Smith, also an employee at Finch Paper in
\nGlens Falls, said he has loved cars for as long
\nas he can remember. He said the repair shop, at
\n306 Quaker Road, is something he has wanted
\nto open for a long time and feels with his team
\nof seven employees, it will be a success.
\nIn addition to offering a wide range of services,
\nit was important to him to make it a fun
\natmosphere. This is where the name “Monkey
\nWrench” comes into play.
\n“We decided to use a play on words. When
\nyou go to website, you can see we love what we
\ndo, and have fun doing it,” said Smith.<\/p>\n

At Monkey Wrench, Smith said customers
\ncan expect to find a variety of automotive services ranging from basic maintenance to
\nheavy repair. They also offer restorations,
\naudio systems, tires, brakes, body work, welding
\nand they are licensed to complete state
\ninspections.<\/p>\n

The shop is installed with “All Data” systems,
\nthe software used by close to 70,000
\ndealerships and repair shops.<\/p>\n

Smith said they want people to leave feeling
\nas though they were given the time to look at
\nall repair options. He wants everyone to leave
\nhappy and feeling satisfied with service.
\n“Being a part of the community and working
\nhere, we want people to trust our work,”
\nsaid Smith.<\/p>\n

The website is a good indicator of Smith’s
\nlove of cars. You can find links for car enthusiasts,
\n“Monkey Wrench,” apparel, photos of
\nthe employees, or the “monkeys,” and links to
\nvarious social media the shop uses.<\/p>\n

Monkey Wrench Autosports is open Monday
\nthrough Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walkins
