Two new members and a new medical
\nstaff president were recently appointed to
\nthe Glens Falls Hospital board of governors.<\/p>\n
Mark Behan and George Ferone were
\nappointed to the board of governors and Dr.
\nJack Leary was elected president\/medical
\nstaff.<\/p>\n
Behan founded Behan Communications
\nin 1988 after a career as a reporter, editor
\nand newspaper executive. Since establishing
\nBehan Communications, he has served as
\nan adviser to CEOs of many companies and
\nmajor nonprofit organizations.
\nBehan previously served on the board
\nof governors of Glens Falls Hospital for 12
\nyears. He also serves on the boards of the
\nHyde Collection, Adirondack Health Services
\nInc., the Glens Falls Foundation, the E. Leo
\nSpain Foundation and Kelly’s Angels Inc. He
\nis a member of the regional advisory board of
\nArrow Financial Corp.<\/p>\n
Ferone has more than 44 years of experience
\nwith the media including the New York
\nDaily News, Tribune Company and Tribune
\nMedia Services in New York City and Orlando
\nFlorida. He current serves as executive director of administration at Gracenote, Inc.
\n(formerly Tribune Media Services LLC).<\/p>\n
He previously served on the boards of the
\nAdirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce,
\nAssociation of Contingency Planners, Glens
\nFalls Hospital Foundation, Prospect Child &
\nFamily Center, Saratoga Warren Washington
\nCounty Workforce Investment, Tri-County
\nUnited Way, and United Way of New York
\nState.<\/p>\n
He was also involved with the Glens Falls
\nRotary Club and the Retired Senior Volunteer
\nProgram. He currently serves on the town of
\nQueensbury Planning Board and the Finance
\nCouncil for Our Lady of the Annunciation
\nRC Church.<\/p>\n
Dr. Leary has practiced medicine at Glens
\nFalls Hospital since 1976. He is an anesthesiologist
\nwith Warren Anesthesia.<\/p>\n
Leary graduated from Georgetown University
\nSchool of Medicine and completed his
\ninternship and residency at Albany Medical
\nCenter. He is certified by the American
\nBoard of Anesthesiology, American Board of
\nEmergency Medicine, and American Board
