Ed Foy is the man behind Professionally
\nMotivated, based out of Saratoga Springs. Professionally
\nMotivated is launching a content curation
\nplatform to area professionals, and businesses
\nwith less than 500 employees.<\/p>\n

He and his wife also own a restaurant in Bolton
\nLanding.<\/p>\n

The content platform will allow users to curate
\nexisting content from the internet, comment on
\nthe content and pull the content and original
\nsource to the user’s website to generate traffic and
\nSEO. The platform makes the curation process
\nand content marketing efficient and user-friendly.
\nFoy compares content marketing to a gym
\nmembership.
\n“If you join a gym, but never go, are you getting
\nthe benefits? No. If you build a website and it
\njust sits there, it’s not going to give you much of
\nan outcome. Google doesn’t reward you for just
\nhaving a website,” he said. “It’s what you do with
\nit that creates benefits.”<\/p>\n

Foy is no stranger to online entrepreneurship.
\nFor 15 years he and his wife, Jennifer, ran eFashion
\nSolutions, a 300-employee internet technology
\ncompany that provided turn-key e-commerce
\nsolutions to the fashion industry. The company
\nserviced over 100 brands such as DKNY, Victoria’s
\nSecret and Oscar De La Renta, also working with
\neBay and Amazon.com.<\/p>\n

The company designed, hosted and serviced
\nwebsites, photographed items for online marketing,
\nmarketed the brands online, and shipped
\norders from inventory maintained in an on-site
\nwarehouse in New Jersey. Said Foy, “We ran
\neverything A to Z for these major catalog brands.
\nWe handled 100 percent of the e-commerce for
\nthe business, both technically and logistically.”<\/p>\n

Foy exited the e-commerce business 24 months
\nago. He and his wife, Jennifer, took some time to
\nfocus on one of their passions, fine dining. They
\nopened The Chateau on the Lake in Bolton Landing,
\nFoy’s hometown. The Chateau was voted one
\nof OpenTable Diners 2015 Top 100 Most Romantic
\nRestaurants in America.<\/p>\n

In addition to being a fine dining restaurant,
\nthe Chateau hosts weddings, parties and events.
\n“I grew up in Bolton and felt like the town
\nneeded a luxury, fine-dining experience,” said
\nFoy. “We pursued the restaurant as a passion,
\nversus making a living, and ended up being very
\nsuccessful. We’ve created a dining experience
\naround the lifestyle of ‘Lake Life’.” Foy’s parents
\nand brother own Cate’s Italian Garden in Bolton.<\/p>\n

Along with starting a successful fine dining
\nrestaurant, Foy made several investments since
\nexiting the e-commerce industry. One investment
\nthat caught his attention and interest was in the
\narea of content marketing.<\/p>\n

“I became a student of the creation, curation
\nand distribution of online content and content
\nmarketing. It hit me that this could be an excellent
\nway for professionals to drive a lot of business,”
\nhe said.<\/p>\n

Foy negotiated the rights to such technology,
\nthen set about beta-testing it for the past three
\nyears with large companies such as AT&T, SAP
\nand Oracle.<\/p>\n
