It’s a Kidz World recently moved to a new
\nlocation, at 86 South St. in Glens Falls, specifically
\nand solely for a day care center.<\/p>\n

It’s a Kidz World was founded in 2012 by
\nTom and Audrey O’Neill and moved from its
\noriginal site at Union Square Properties, 9
\nBroad St. The center is open to children ages
\nsix weeks to 5 years old.<\/p>\n

The new facility has a large foyer which
\nallows parents to view children without having
\nto go into the classrooms. Classrooms
\nare larger than at the previous location, the
\nowners said. The playground is fenced-in and
\nrenovations will be finished in the spring.
\nThere are five classrooms within the facility.
\nThe infant program welcomes young children
\ninto a safe and nurturing environment.
\nGross motor skills, such as crawling, sitting
\nand pulling oneself up are mastered during
\nthis program.<\/p>\n

The toddler program provides a safe space
\nwith mental and physical stimulation for children.
\nIt is a safe space for children to build
\ntheir independence and gain social skills. The
\npreschool program focuses on preparing children
\nfor kindergarten, adding reading, math,
\nart, music, physical education, and more to
\nthe daily curriculum.<\/p>\n

The convenient location in downtown Glens Falls is suited for busy parents who work in
\nthe city and need daycare for their children.
\nThe facility is located near dozens of local
\nbusinesses.<\/p>\n

“My preschoolers wanted to walk to the
\nlibrary today to get books, so we just did that”
\nsaid Brittany Petteys, director of the center.
\n“We’re close enough to be able to walk to the
\nlibrary or the park or other places, which
\nis nice. Our convenient downtown location
\nmakes us different.”<\/p>\n

During the summer children go on additional
\nfield trips to places like the Fun Spot
\nand Magic Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The center has space to accommodate 52
\nchildren. All teachers and staff have years of
\nexperience in daycare and childhood education.
\nThe staff is all CPR and first aid certified.
\nAlso, all head teachers have formal education
\nin early childhood education. Petteys has a
\nmaster’s degree in teacher leadership.<\/p>\n

The center is part of the New York State
\nFood Program. It’s a Kidz World provides
\nbreakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack each
\nday. All meals are nutritious and delicious.<\/p>\n

The facility is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
\nOpen enrollment is currently available for
\nthe infant and toddler programs. To arrange
