After 13 years of working with a national<br \/>\nreal estate firm, she decided to venture<br \/>\nsolo, opening her own firm, Cameron<br \/>\n&amp; Associates Real Estate Service, located<br \/>\nat 38 Saratoga Ave. in South Glens Falls.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the right time in my life to<br \/>\nlaunch my own company,&#8221; said Cameron.<\/p>\n<p>She owned a residential and commercial<br \/>\ncleaning service with a business partner<br \/>\nwhich they decided to sell in 2002. She<br \/>\nsaid she was contemplating what to do<br \/>\nnext when her father, who was flipping<br \/>\nhouses at the time, suggested she get a<br \/>\nreal estate license.<br \/>\n&#8220;I have been licensed since 2002 with<br \/>\na large corporate firm and have helped<br \/>\nhundreds of clients and customers over<br \/>\nthe years with their real estate needs,&#8221; she<br \/>\nsaid. &#8220;Over the past couple of years, I was<br \/>\nonly doing real estate part-time to pursue<br \/>\nother successful business ventures, however,<br \/>\nI missed selling real estate full time and decided this was the right time in my<br \/>\nlife to open my own company.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cameron&#8217;s base is in Warren, Washington<br \/>\nand Saratoga counties, where she feels she<br \/>\nknows the real estate climate very well.<br \/>\nShe specializes in both residential and<br \/>\ncommercial rentals and property management.<\/p>\n<p>Cameron began with Coldwell Banker<br \/>\nPrime Properties in 2002, and it was there<br \/>\nwhere she has been able to gain experience.<br \/>\nShe has served on the Warren County<br \/>\nAssociation of Realtors board of directors<br \/>\nand has been a member of the Realtors<br \/>\npolitical action committee for six years.<br \/>\nShe also served as chairperson for the<br \/>\nscholarship committee for the Realtor Association.<\/p>\n<p>Given all of her experience she<br \/>\nsaid as she launched her new business, she<br \/>\nis excited to see her name behind her work.<br \/>\nShe said she is thankful to all those<br \/>\nwho have put their faith in her, friends<br \/>\nand clients.<\/p>\n<p>She can be reached at 761-1212.<\/p>\n<p>Photo by Todd Bissonette Photography<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Shelli Cameron owns and operates Cameron &amp; Associates Real Estate Service and has served on the Warren County Association of Realtors political action committee for six yearsBY JENNIFER FARNSWORTH Shelli Cameron said she knew it was time.
