Bill Smith, who has 22 years of experience
\nworking in flooring installation, said he decided
\nto open a retail store when he became
\ndisillusioned by the changes being made by
\nbig box stores.<\/p>\n

Everything Under Foot, a flooring retail
\nand installation store, opened in April. The
\nfamily owned and operated business is located
\nat 189 Main St. in Hudson Falls. Smith
\nsaid he felt he could provide better service
\nfor both his customers and his employees.<\/p>\n

The store carries all kinds of flooring:
\nlaminates, vinyls, hardwoods, ceramic and
\nslate tiles, carpeting and more. Some popular
\noptions are luxury vinyl tiles and vinyl plank.<\/p>\n

\nCustomers can come in and talk to the team
\nmembers, who will discuss customer needs
\nand provide advice.
\n“In a big box store there’s a lot of people
\nwho aren’t trained properly,” said Smith.<\/p>\n

Everything Under Foot has a carefully selected
\nstaff who have years of experience in
\nthe flooring industry, he said. All staff knows
\nabout the products carried in the store and
\ncan give exact advice to customers about
\ntheir flooring needs.<\/p>\n

Additionally, all staff have been background
\nchecked and drug tested. This, Smith
\nexplains, is unusual for the flooring installation
\nindustry. He believes it is important to
\ntake this additional safety precaution when
\nhaving staff who will be entering customer’s
\nhomes.<\/p>\n

“We wanted to maintain higher standards
\nthan the rest of the industry,” said Smith.
\nSmith is almost always in the store to help
\ncustomers.<\/p>\n

The store provides installation for small
\nresidential homes as well as commercial
\ninstallations. Past projects include large
\napartment complexes. Everything Under
\nFoot is happy to work with businesses on
\ntheir flooring needs.<\/p>\n

The store also offers bathroom and kitchen
\nremodeling services. Customers can expect
\nEverything Under Foot to give them a professional
\nexperience when remodeling their
\nhome.<\/p>\n

“Every customer is taken care of like they
\nare a family member,” said Smith. “I’m looking
\nfor long time relationships with customers.”
\nHe also maintains competitive pricing
\non all products and services.<\/p>\n

Everything Under Foot had a grand opening
\nin early May.<\/p>\n
