The Conkling Center was presented with
\nthe Community Leadership Award at the Tri-
\nCounty United Way annual recognition breakfast,
\non May 5.<\/p>\n
Barbara Sweet, executive director of the Tri-
\nCountry United Way, presented the award to the
\ncenter for enhancing the quality of life of seniors
\nthrough thoughtful programming, transportation
\nservices and community collaboration.<\/p>\n
The Conkling Center, formerly known as
\nThe Glens Falls Home, Inc., has been serving
\nseniors in the community for well over 100 years.
\nIts mission is to enhance the quality of life of
\nseniors 55-plus in the community, directly and
\nindirectly, by providing services, programs, and
\nopportunities to meet their changing needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
