The Dunham’s Bay Boat Co. is again selling
\nboats.<\/p>\n

The company has been renting boats and
\noffering full boat service since 1970. For over
\n40 years, Sea Ray boats were sold there. That
\nstopped in 2010, according to Karen Howard,
\nowner of the company.
\nNow the company is selling pre-owned boats
\non consignment.<\/p>\n

Howard said the opportunity arose when
\nEddie Casalnova approached her with a
\nproposition to team up. Casalnova, now sales
\nconsultant for the company, proposed the use
\nof the Dunham’s Bay Boat Co. for the sale of
\npre-owned boats, with him brokering the deals.
\n“It’s been very successful so far,” Howard
\nsaid.
\nBoats are featured and sold for boat owners
\nat a commission.
\n“We have been averaging one boat sale a day,”
\nsaid Howard. “We expect it to get even busier in the fall, as people decide whether or not they
\nwant to keep their boat for another year and
\nstore it here, or sell it before the season ends.”<\/p>\n

Dunham’s Bay Boat Co. is a full service
\ncompany that sells gasoline on the premises.
\nRental boats are available.<\/p>\n

The business has over 300 feet of lake
\nfront property on Lake George. Howard said
\nthe property has been updated with all new
\ndocks. There are 13 acres of storage property
\nacross from the docks, storage buildings and a
\n3,000-square-foot showroom.<\/p>\n

Boats being brokered by the company are
\nfeatured online.
\nThough the company is thriving, Howard has
\nlisted it for sale.
\n“I’m ready to have my summers off,” she
\nlaughed. “One of the components of running a
\nsuccessful business is that you are very busy.
\nI’m ready to retire.”<\/p>\n

The Dunham’s Bay Boat Co. is located at 10
