Famed retailer of outdoor attire L.L.Bean
\nwill be opening its first outlet store in New
\nYork, at the Adirondack Outlet Mall at the
\nFactory Outlets of Lake George.<\/p>\n
The 13,600-square-foot store will employ
\napproximately 25 people and will feature
\nan assortment of discontinued, overstocked
\nor gently used active and casual apparel and
\nfootwear, as well as outdoor lifestyle gear including
\nhiking, fly-fishing, kayaking and winter
\ngear and camping products, representatives of
\nthe company said.<\/p>\n
There are currently four full-retail stores
\nin New York with locations in Albany, Fayetteville,
\nYonkers and Victor.
\nL.L.Bean officials said the company chose
\nthis location for its first New York outlet store
\ndue to its popularity as a year-round outdoor
\nrecreational destination, as well as the high
\nlevel of traffic that the Adirondack Outlet
\nMall receives.<\/p>\n

\nfirst New York outlet store in the Lake George
\nregion,” said Greg Elder, vice president of
\nstores for L.L.Bean. “The incredible diversity
\nof outdoor activities and wonderful natural
\nresources, combined with a population base

\nme that this is going to be a very good home

This will be L.L.Bean’s 11th outlet store and
\nits first outlet store in New York.

Founded in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean,
\nthe company began as a one-room operation
\nselling a single product, the Maine Hunting
\nShoe. Still family owned, Shawn Gorman, great
\ngrandson of Leon Leonwood Bean, was named
\nchairman of the board of directors in 2013.<\/p>\n
While its business has grown over the years,
\nL.L.Bean continues to uphold the values of its
\nfounder, including his dedication to quality,
\ncustomer service and a love of the outdoors,
\ncompany officials said. L.L.Bean products

In the past five years, L.L.Bean has donated
