The Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation
\nand the Adirondack Civic Center
\nCoalition (ACCC) announced a campaign
\nto raise funds to support revitalization of
\nthe center.<\/p>\n
The campaign, called Buy-a-Seat, offers
\nindividuals, companies and organizations to
\nthe chance to buy a seat in the Glens Falls
\nCivic Center for $100 each. In return for
\nthe tax-deductible donation, a nameplate
\nwill be affixed to a seat in the Civic Center.
\nThere is no limit to how many seats
\nanyone can buy.<\/p>\n
In a joint statement, Paul Pontiff,
\npresident of the Glens Falls Civic Center
\nFoundation and Dan Burke, president of
\nthe Coalition said, “Our mission is to make
\nthe Civic Center a major entertainment and
\nsports venue for years to come. One of the
\nkey ingredients to making this happen is
\nto raise funds for both the operations and
\npurchase of the building. This campaign is
\ncritical to accomplish our goals.”
\nBoth organizations feel that the Civic
\nCenter is a regional asset, and with this
\ntype of campaign people in the community
\nhave an opportunity to feel they are a part
\nof the revitalization of the venue.<\/p>\n
To jump-start the undertaking, the
\nboards of both organizations purchased or
\npledged to over 200 seats.<\/p>\n

\nGlens Falls Civic Center at 798-0366, ext. 10.
\nPeople can pay with a credit card or staff
\nwill forward a purchase form with instructions.
\nPeople wanting to help sell seats
\non behalf of the center can call the same
