The Adirondack Regional Chamber of
\nCommerce will hold its first BusinessPulse on
\nOct. 29, a re-structured show to showcase the
\nlocal business community.<\/p>\n
This will feature 8-foot by 10-foot booth areas
\nwith tabletop displays for easy set-up and tear-down
\nwhere businesses will be able to showcase
\ntheir products and services.
\nIt is scheduled for 3-7 p.m. at SUNY
\nAdirondack, 640 Bay Road in Queensbury.<\/p>\n
Chamber officials said it will promote an
\natmosphere for productive networking. The
\nday will also feature door prizes, cash bar,
\ncomplimentary food and drink samples from
\nlocal restaurants and bars, and more.
\nWith the growth of the health and wellness
\nsector of the region, Chamber members that
\nare experts in these fields will be highlighted
\nat this show.<\/p>\n
In April of 2014, the Chamber started
\na Workplace Health & Wellness Council
\ncommitted to developing and sustaining a
\nculture of wellness in the business community,
\nbuilding on the work and partnership with the
\nCreating Healthy Places program through Glens
\nFalls Hospital.<\/p>\n
Chamber officials said part of this year’s
\nshowcase will be a “Health Tip Challenge”.
\nShowcase participants will be searching
\nout health tips from the various exhibitors.
\nAlso, during the showcase there will be
\ndemonstrations by a number of the health and
\nwellness exhibitors, including cooking and
\nphysical activities demos.<\/p>\n
Organizers said the new venue will provide
\nmore exposure to exhibitors than ever
\nbefore. Also planned are businesses providing
\ninformation on financial health.<\/p>\n
All area businesses are encouraged to take part
\nin the BusinessPulse, which will highlight the
\noverall wellness of businesses, both physically
\nand financially.
