Hannaford Supermarkets celebrated the
\ngrand re-opening of its Ballston Spa store at 11
\nTrieble Avenue recently by presenting a $7,500
\ndonation to the new handicapped-accessible
\nTown of Milton playground at Burgess-Kimball
\nPark on Rowland Street.<\/p>\n
The 17,000-square-foot recreation park offers
\nspecial ramps for wheelchairs, sensory panels
\nfor children with ADHD and autism, transfer
\nplatforms, and swings that are accessible for
\nchildren with disabilities, including one that
\nholds a wheelchair.<\/p>\n
The donation from Hannaford assisted in
\nthe purchase of equipment for the playground.
\nThe store renovations expand the Ballston Spa
\nstore by 8,000 square feet in an effort to offer
\nan increased variety of products and provide a
