The Adirondack Trust Co. Community Fund recently
\nconcluded its 2015 Autumn of Giving Match
\nCampaign, raising $80,302 to benefit local charities
\nthrough the ATCCF Lend-A-Hand Grant Program.<\/p>\n
During the month-long campaign, $40,151 was
\ndonated by the community and business partners,
\nfund officials said. The Adirondack Trust Co.
\nmatched all donations, dollar for dollar, for another
\n$40,151.<\/p>\n
The community-wide initiative brought 13
\nparticipating business partners, the Adirondack
\nTrust Co., and local citizens together to increase
\nawareness of the Community Fund, and raise funds
\nto support area nonprofit organizations. Since its
\ninception in 2013, the Autumn of Giving Campaign
\nhas raised over $125,000 from the community. With
\nthe bank match, the overall total now raised exceeds
\n$250,000, officials said.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of the ATCCF Advisory
\nCommittee, Mary Gavin, volunteer chairwoman,
\nsaid, “We are very grateful to the individual donors,
\nbusiness partners and media partners, as well as the
\nAdirondack Trust Co. for their generous support.
\nOur community is what makes this event such a
\nsuccess each year.
\n“As a result of the funds now available, the 2015
\nLend-A-Hand Grant Awards (to be presented on
\nDec. 15) will provide support to 23 local nonprofits,
\neach with a very worthy mission. It is because of
\nthe work of these nonprofits that our community
\ncontinues to grow and thrive. ”<\/p>\n
The Community Fund was established in 2009 to
\nserve as a perpetual source of philanthropic support
\nfor the needs of local charities. It is an independent
\n501(c) (3) charitable organization. Adirondack
\nTrust Co. serves as the trustee and administrator,
\nwith guidance from the Independent Advisory
