AAA recently announced its annual Diamond Awards recognizing hotels and restaurants from across the nation.<\/p>\n
The Inn at Erlowest in Lake George received a four-star diamond rating for its restaurant. The Sagamore resort in Bolton received a four-star diamond rating for its hotel.<\/p>\n
The Inn at Erlowest has made the list every year since 2006. The Sagamore has been on the list since 1985.<\/p>\n
AAA awards four-star diamond ratings and the highest five-star diamond ratings.<\/p>\n
As for the Lake George region as a whole, Trivago, the hotel comparison website, included Lake George in the “Best Value Destinations” for 2017. Lake George was ranked No. 8 out of 17 locations.<\/p>\n
Trivago looks at hotel prices, guest reviews and entertainment options for travelers.<\/p>\n

The Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival, held in September, announced it has changed its name to the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival.
\nOfficials said the event will continue to offer the public education on the products produced in fiber arts, raw fleece, roving, spinning supplies, needle felting, dyes, yarns, and items needed to knit, crochet, and weave.<\/p>\n
The change to the title of the festival was made to represent the additions that this year’s and future festivals will include, the organization said. New artisans and vendors will include pottery, body care products, healing arts, jewelry, culinary arts, craft beverage producers, leather, paper crafts, photography, print making, sculpture, wood arts, and more.<\/p>\n

The company earned this recognition based on a host of performance measures, such as quality of care, quality improvement and consistency, patient experience, process measure implementation and financial performance.<\/p>\n
