A stipend for the selected designs will be given.\n<\/div>\n<div>\nThe outdoor art project will be seen by both residents and tourists as they dine, shop, and take in all the cultural options Glens Falls has to offer, the organization said.\n<\/div>\n<div>\n&#8220;The Have a Seat in Glens Falls project first started in Glens Falls in 2010, the same year that I started working at LARAC,&#8221; said LARAC Executive Director Candice Frye. &#8220;It was my first introduction into how public art in Downtown Glens Falls can bring people together and have a positive impact on the community. Seven years later, we are excited to bring back this project.\n<\/div>\n<div>\n&#8220;I look forward to seeing all of the amazingly creative artists&#8217; work. And I look forward to the buzz on the sidewalks as people walk through Glens Falls and &#8216;have a seat&#8217; in their favorite Adirondack chairs.&#8221;\n<\/div>\n<div>\nApplications are due by March 31. Artists will be notified by April 7 and chair pick-up will be scheduled accordingly. The chair design must be completed by May 5th.\n<\/div>\n<div>\nAll completed chairs will be displayed from Memorial Day through Labor Day. In September, an auction will be held with proceeds benefitting LARAC. Applications are available on the group&#8217;s website, www.larac.org.\n<\/div>\n<div>\nThis public art project is made possible with support by the Touba Family Foundation.\n<\/div>\n<div>\nLARAC is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to supporting arts and culture throughout Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga counties by developing and sponsoring arts activities and services.
