A five-star rating indicates that the bank excels in areas of capital adequacy, profitability, asset quality and much more. In addition, by earning the top honor for 43 consecutive quarters in a row, the bank was named an “exceptional performance bank” by BauerFinancial.<\/p>\n

Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte CPAs, PC was recently named to Accounting Today’s 2017 Top 100 Firms Plus Accounting’s Regional Leaders list in mid-March. The company made the Top Firms: Mid-Atlantic Area list.<\/p>\n
Among the list of the top 35 firms in the areas that consist of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, TBC was in the 32nd slot and a 4.3 percent rate of growth over the past year. This was the first year TBC has been included in the annual report measured by firm revenue.<\/p>\n
Starting with only four employees, today it employs 95 associates, including 53 CPAs. The firm’s commercial clientele includes real estate developers, construction contractors, distributors, manufacturers, professional service firms, automotive dealers, retailers, technology companies, and wholesalers among other businesses.<\/p>\n

Hudson Headwaters is teaming up with the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont (UVM) to offer a leading-edge medical training program to third-year medical students.<\/p>\n
This April, three students from UVM began a one-year training in the Glens Falls community as part of a program known as a Longitudinal Integrative Clerkship (LIC). Officials said unlike more traditional methods of educating future physicians, the LIC places students within a community where they stay for an extended period.<\/p>\n
The students will be embedded in the primary care offices at Hudson Headwaters, and also spend time rotating through Glens Falls Hospital and many local specialty offices.<\/p>\n
As members of Hudson Headwaters’ medical team, the UVM students will participate in providing comprehensive care to their patients, including wellness, acute care, and chronic care. They will work with physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and mental health workers in the emergency room, the hospital, subacute rehabilitation centers, palliative care, and home care.<\/p>\n

The Adirondack Trust Co. Community Fund is accepting grant applications from eligible nonprofit charities headquartered in the Saratoga, Warren and Washington county areas.<\/p>\n
The grant window is open through Sept. 25. Grant information and application forms may be obtained from the Community Fund website at www.atccf.org\/nonprofits<\/p>\n
\u00a0The fund was established in 2009 to build an endowment that acts as a perpetual source of funding for the broad array of nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life in the community and to assist them in addressing issues of common concern. The fund also seeks to foster a community spirit of giving by providing donors with flexible ways to manage charitable donations. In 2016, the Community Fund awarded $42,270.00 in “lend-a-hand” grants to 23 local, nonprofit organizations, supporting programs in such diverse areas as veteran’s outreach, mental health services, wildlife education, homelessness prevention, youth services, and the arts.<\/p>\n
