The Warren County Association of Realtors (WCAR) awarded Joseph Woutersz of Hunt ERA real estate brokerage in Glens Falls as its 2015 Realtor of the Year.<\/p>\n

A recognition celebration was held as part of the association’s annual holiday gala in December at the Great Escape Lodge with a crowd of over 200 real estate professionals and a variety of local business leaders who provide services to the real estate industry.<\/p>\n

Tom Van Aernem, last year’s Realtor of the Year recipient, presented the tribute. Also in attendance were representatives from the New York Association of Realtors and officers from the Greater Capital Region Association of Realtors and Northern Adirondack Board of Realtors.<\/p>\n

Woutersz, of Queensbury, is a long time WCAR member. He has served on the association’s board of directors, as past chair on the education and community relations committees and as past president and board member of Warren County Multiple Listing Service. He is a certified state trainer, and taught real estate courses at Manfred and SUNY Adirondack. He holds the GRI, ABR, and CRB designations from the National Association of Realtors. Woutersz has been a longtime member of ARCC, Toastmasters, Kiwanis, and BNI. He founded Out of the Ashes (for fire victims) and through this volunteered for After the Fire, which also supports victims of fires, and has volunteered with the Skating Association for the Blind and Handicapped.<\/p>\n

Woutersz started his real estate career in 1998. Before that, the Wilton native owned J Albert & Sons Hardware store on South Street in Glens Falls for over 20 years and also worked as a locksmith. Woutersz owned and managed Hearth & Home Real Estate for eight years before merging with Hunt ERA Real Estate, where he is currently the managing broker of the Glens Falls office.<\/p>\n

As a local association Realtor of the Year recipient, Woutersz will also be recognized at the state association’s mid-winter business meetings in Albany in February.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
