The Visual Arts Gallery at SUNY Adirondack
\nwill host a new exhibit by Monica Haller entitled
\nVeterans Book Project, featured for the Fall 2015
\nsemester running through Nov. 12.<\/p>\n
The Veterans Book Project is an art
\ncollaboration consisting of 50 books, each
\nwritten by artist Monica Haller and individuals
\nwith first-hand experience of the current
\nAmerican wars. Most of the subjects are
\nveterans, some are family members of soldiers
\nand others are Iraqi or Afghan civilian refugees.<\/p>\n
The exhibition is also intended to serve as a
\nquiet space for contemplation and thoughtful
\ndiscussion about war and its impact on our lives.
\nVisitors to the exhibition are invited to sit and
\nread through the books and comment on their
\nown experiences or how war has impacted them.
\nThe exhibit is on loan from the Weeks Gallery
