Glens Falls National Bank and Trust
\nCo<\/b>. raised over $325 for the Ben Osborn
\nMemorial Fund during a Community Appreciation
\nDay event at its Queensbury and
\nRoute 9 offices in September.<\/p>\n
Various fundraisers generated $328 for
\nthe nonprofit, including a bake sale, basket
\nraffle and car wash. In addition, two boxes of
\nfood were donated to the Tri-County United
\nWay, and a book drive collected two boxes of
\nbooks for “Ben’s Book Stations,” a new free
\nreading resource provided to local schools
\nby the Ben Osborn Fund.<\/p>\n
The event also included free food and
\ngiveaways.
\nThe South Glens Falls office supported
\nthe Moreau Community Center Food Pantry
\nduring its fall-themed Community Appreciation
\nDay in September.<\/p>\n
A food drive and pie sale generated 74
\npounds of food and $95, respectively, for the
\nFood Pantry. In addition, Boy Scout Troop
\n99 was on-site collecting bottles and cans.
\nThe event also included free apples from
\nMcWhorter’s Orchard, free paper shredding
\nby Adirondack Mobile Shredding and
\ngiveaways.<\/p>\n
The Washington County office raised over
\n$500 during its “Think Pink” Community
\nAppreciation Day in September.<\/p>\n
Various fundraisers generated $514 for
\nthe American Cancer Society – Making
\nStrides Against Breast Cancer, including
\nthe sale of breast cancer awareness ribbon
\npins and bracelets, a basket raffle and bake
\nsale. In addition, Glens Falls Hospital’s C.
\nR. Wood Cancer Center was on-site with an
