EDC Warren County will hold its second
\nannual Southern Adirondack Planning
\n& Zoning Forum on Thursday, Sept.
\n25, at Fort William Henry Conference
\nCenter, 48 Canada St., Lake George.<\/p>\n
The EDC Events Steering Committee
\nand EDC staff, led by John Wheatley is
\npreparing for the informative session designed
\nfor planning, zoning and municipal
\nofficials in the Southern Adirondack
\nregion.<\/p>\n
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30
\np.m.
\nTopics to be covered include:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Latest SEQRA regulation information.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Attorney Mark Schachner’s “Planning
\nBoard Protocols.”<\/p>\n
\u2022 APA shoreline development.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Variances in the Adirondack Park.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Recognizing gray areas and stumbling
\nblocks.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Update and regional impact of the
\nJefferson Project.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Finding the balance: Adirondack
\nsustainable economy.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Certification.<\/p>\n
Last year’s forum qualified for continuing
\neducation credits in municipalities
\nthat certified. Participants can inquire
\nwith their individual town for more details
\nand requirements.<\/p>\n
Space is limited. Last year’s event was
