The Queensbury company entered into a five-year sponsorship agreement to rebrand the Glens Falls Civic Center.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Adirondack Civic Center Coalition announced on July 12 that it has entered into a five-year agreement with Cool Insuring Agency to rebrand the Glens Falls Civic Center as Cool Insuring Arena, effective immediately. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe\u2019re proud to partner with a great member of our community in Cool Insuring Agency as we are able to name our building for the first time in its 38-year history,\u201d Adirondack Civic Center Coalition President Dan Burke said. \u201cWe are almost 60 percent of the way to our overall Keep Hockey Here fundraising goal and are excited to move forward as the Cool Insuring Arena.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cool Insuring Agency, based in Queensbury, becomes the first sponsor of the downtown arena since its inception in 1979. The five-year agreement keeps the agency as the official sponsor of the arena through 2022. The naming rights deal marks the next step as the Adirondack Civic Center Coalition and Adirondack Thunder hockey team approach the 2017-18 season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cFrom day one in 1979, we have been a season ticket holder and dasher board advertiser at the Civic Center,\u201d Cool Insuring Agency Vice President Jack Bieniek said. \u201cWe are acutely aware of the benefits of what a viable and catalytic entertainment venue means to our hometown community and its local businesses. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe employees, management and owners of Cool Insuring Agency are honored to support the Adirondack Civic Center Coalition today and into the future.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Coalition officials said they completed the purchase of the Adirondack Thunder from Calgary Sports &amp; Entertainment on June 30 and are currently in the process of raising the additional funds necessary for a successful team ownership. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The coalition set a $1 million campaign goal, including contributions from coalition members, on Feb. 28 and is now nearly 60 percent of the way toward their overall goal. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Fans can make an online donation to help Keep Hockey Here by visiting glensfallscc.com and clicking the support button. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cEven though we closed the transaction to purchase the Thunder on June 30, we still have looming financial obligations to fulfill so more fundraising is critical in the coming months,\u201d Burke said.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cool Insuring Agency aims to provide its clients with a full range of the of insurance products and services and allowing them to experience \u201cinsurance made simple.
