The International Motorcoach Group (IMG) named Brown Coach of Amsterdam as its 2017 Operator of the Year at the Strategic Alliance and Marketing Meeting\u2019s awards banquet sponsored by Prevost and held at its Nashville, Tenn., service center.<\/p>\n

Brown Coach is thee parent company of Upstate Transit of Saratoga LLC.<\/p>\n

In December 2005, Upstate Transit of Saratoga was purchased and became part of the Brown family of transportation. Upstate Transit of Saratoga LLC, with over 20 years of tour planning experience, offers chartered bus service, tours and line service in the Capital\/Saratoga region.<\/p>\n

The award was accepted by Stephen Brown, vice president of Brown Coach, on behalf of his brother Robert, their families, and the team at Brown Coach.<\/p>\n

Each year, IMG recognizes one of its own for the honor. \u00a0The award is based on a criteria of operational excellence, safety performance, best practices, community and motorcoach industry involvement and engagement within IMG.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cOver 17 years ago, we were invited to become a shareholder company of IMG,\u201d said Brown. \u201cOur involvement in the IMG organization has helped Brown Coach achieve many milestones, raise the bar in service excellence, and grow to where we are today. \u00a0I am truly honored to receive this award.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown Coach began in 1980 with just nine motor coaches. Over 37 years, the company has grown into a diversified fleet that provides charter, commuter, and tour services with 36 motorcoaches and over 225 school buses for contract school transportation.<\/p>\n

Brown Coach has been active in many areas of IMG, including the development of the IMG driver training program, said to be one of the first such training programs in the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs IMG\u2019s Operator of the Year, Brown Coach is committed to safety, training and customer service excellence, a true testament to outstanding core values that mirror IMG\u2019s,\u201d said Bronwyn Wilson, IMG president.<\/p>\n

As is tradition, IMG unveiled the \u201cOperator of the Year\u201d Motorcoach, designed and produced by Turbo Images, and featuring Brown Coach\u2019s logo along with a background collage depicting signature travel images of their Upstate New York location.<\/p>\n

The members of IMG operate more than 7,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada. Each year, more than 21 million charter and tour customers count on IMG members to provide charter services. IMG is an invitation only organization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
