In time for the holiday season, Saratoga Performing Arts Center is offering customizable gifts for music lovers through Dec. 31.<\/p>\n
The 2017 holiday collection includes the ultimate classical season pass, which features a lawn seat for all performances of the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra and the opportunity to upgrade to the best available amphitheater seat for $5 for any performance, up to five times ($165 through Dec. 31); gift certificates that can be redeemed for tickets to any SPAC performance, Live Nation show or the Saratoga Wine & Food Festival; the flex ticket option for the Freihofer\u2019s Saratoga Jazz Festival ($56 through Dec. 31); and holiday gift subscriptions to Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at SPAC and Opera Saratoga.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ultimate classical season pass is the best kept \u2018SPAC insider\u2019 secret. What\u2019s well known about these lawn passes is that they offer the opportunity to experience SPAC\u2019s world-class programming for the entire classical season at an average ticket price of just $7 per performance, less than a movie ticket,\u201d said Elizabeth Sobol, CEO of SPAC.<\/p>\n

\u2018What\u2019s not well known, and a terrific bonus is that classical season pass holders can also upgrade their ticket to best available seats five times per season, for just $5. SPAC also announced that new in 2017, for every $50 gift certificate purchased through Dec. 31, participants will receive a $10 classical ticket credit.<\/p>\n
The Holiday Collection will continue to be available at a reduced rate until Sunday, Dec. 31.<\/p>\n
For those who prefer to purchase tickets on site, SPAC will open the Hall of Springs boxoffice, 108 Avenue of the Pines, on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The regular Holiday Collection discount will apply with no processing fees or facility fees. There will be hot chocolate, caroling and holiday cheer for people while\u00a0 making their purchase.<\/p>\n
The ultimate classical season pass includes lawn admission to all 2018 performances by the New York City Ballet (July 17\u201321) and the Philadelphia Orchestra (Aug. 1\u201318).<\/p>\n
New in 2017, for every $50 gift certificate purchased through Dec. 31, the buyer will receive a $10 classical ticket credit.<\/p>\n
Back by popular demand is the flex lawn ticket to the Freihofer\u2019s Saratoga Jazz Festival (June 23-24), allowing guests the opportunity to take advantage of the Holiday Collection without having to commit their attendance at either day of the festival. The flex ticket will be available for $56 through Dec. 31 (one-day lawn passes are typically $68) and can be used on either day of the Festival.<\/p>\n
SPAC is offering a holiday gift subscription for the Chamber Music Society\u2019s 2018 Season (Aug. 5-21). The offer includes seats to all six performances and starts at $240 (originally $288).<\/p>\n
