People looking to get in shape and achieve their weight loss goals have another area option\u2014ILoveKickboxing.com in Queensbury.<\/p>\n

ILoveKickboxing.com is a franchise that started in 2009. Since then, the company has spread across the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always loved everything to do with fitness and was looking for a franchise opportunity that met my passions and goals to help people change their lives,\u201d said Dana Moraci, a Long Island native who moved to the area 12 years ago.<\/p>\n

Moraci and her husband were members of the Clifton Park branch of ILoveKickboxing. When she found out about the opportunity to have franchise, she seized the moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI enjoy healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle and I wanted to share my passions and change the way people thought of fitness,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Located at 820 Route 9, her business has been embraced by the local community, she said.<\/p>\n

Classes are led by a trained instructor. During a person\u2019s first day, each participant receives a consultation to determine their individualized fitness goals. During the class, they are given a one-on-one instruction to show them the necessary form that will suit their needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach person works at their own pace and at their own fitness level,\u201d said Moraci.<\/p>\n

In the studio, participants work with a standing punching bag. Instructors lead the class through a variety of exercises during a full 60-minute workout. Each class starts with conditioning and stretching.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a total body workout, that is energizing and fun,\u201d said Moraci.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the best things about I Love Kickboxing is the community vibe,\u201d she said. \u201cWorking out alone is boring. Here, we know every member by their name.\u201d<\/p>\n

She plans events to motivate participants. Each month, they have a Kickboxer of the Month, celebrating someone who is working hard toward their goals and inspiring others.<\/p>\n

They also bring in a DJ once a month to play live music during themed evening classes.\u00a0 Members get dressed up in the theme of the night and a prize is awarded to best dressed.<\/p>\n

The staff at I Love Kickboxing Queensbury works to ensure that the vibe is fun and enjoyable.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been truly wonderful. Queensbury has embraced us with so much love,\u201d said Moraci. \u201cThe progress that people see in a couple of sessions is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

New members can receive three kickboxing classes for $10, plus a free pair of boxing gloves.<\/p>\n
