The Adirondack Trust Co. Community Fund <\/b>is accepting grant applications from eligible nonprofit charities headquartered in the Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties.<\/p>\n
Applications will be accepted through Aug.\u00a0 <\/span>31.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Grant information and application forms may be obtained from the Adirondack Trust Co. Community Fund website at www.atccf.org\/nonprofits\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The fund was established in 2009 to build an endowment that acts as a perpetual source of funding for the broad array of nonprofit organizations which improve the quality of life in the community and to assist them in addressing issues of common concern.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2017, the fund awarded $52,217 in \u201clend-a-hand\u201d grants to 29 local, nonprofit organizations, supporting programs in such diverse areas as veterans\u2019 outreach, mental health services, youth education and services, homelessness prevention, and the arts.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The fund also seeks to foster a community spirit of giving by providing donors with unique and flexible ways to manage charitable donations.<\/p>\n Grant recipients will be announced by the independent advisory committee in December.<\/p>\n ***<\/p>\n The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce will hold its golf outing at the Glens Falls Country Club, 211 Round Pond Road, Queensbury, on Monday, June 18.<\/p>\n Registration will run from\u00a0 <\/span>9:30-10:45 a.m. Shotgun start is at 11 a.m. It is a four-person scramble format and the day includes lunch and cocktail reception.<\/p>\n The cost is $180.00 per person for ARCC members;\u00a0 <\/span>$670 per foursome (a $50 savings); and $210 per person for not-yet members.<\/p>\n Participants can also register online at the ARCC website, www.adirondackchamber.org.<\/p>\n Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co.<\/b> was recognized in March as a 5-Star Superior bank by BauerFinancial, Inc., a bank rating and research firm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Glens Falls National has earned this designation for the past 44 consecutive quarters, putting it in the prominent position as an \u201cexceptional performance bank.\u201d<\/p>\n To earn 5 Stars, banks must excel in areas of capital quality, asset quality and profitability.Based in Coral Gables, Florida, BauerFinancial has been reporting on and analyzing the performance of U.S. banks and credit unions since 1983<\/p>\n ***<\/p>\n The International Paper Corp.<\/b> has awarded a grant in the amount of $5,000 to support the Healthy Meal Program offered by Silver Bay YMCA<\/b> Teen Center – Ticonderoga.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Healthy Meal is designed to provide students with opportunities to prepare a nutritious evening meal for members who are in attendance. Along with teaching teens the basics of meal preparation, the program empowers young women and men to become self-sufficient, helping them to acquire the tools needed to succeed as they grow into adulthood.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n At the Teen Center, teens experience social development, educational support and leadership training to give them the tools they need to create the foundation for a successful future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n ***<\/p>\n The Adirondack Trust Co.<\/b> has again secured a 5-Star rating from BauerFinancial.
