The Schaghticoke native earned her bachelor\u2019s degree in finance from Siena College. Jacobs<\/b> was promoted to director of information technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jacobs joined Glens Falls National Bank in 2003 as information systems manager. He was named senior vice president in 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In his new role, Jacobs will oversee the company\u2019s IT department and deposit operations, playing a key role in guiding the company\u2019s strategic technology plans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Rotterdam native holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in finance from Siena College and an associate degree in business administration from Hudson Valley Community College.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-31239\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/09\/p-brief-thorn-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/09\/p-brief-thorn-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/09\/p-brief-thorn-65x65.jpg 65w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Douglas Thorn<\/b> has joined the company as senior vice president and director of insurance operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In his new role, Thorn will also serve as president and CEO of the bank\u2019s insurance subsidiary, Upstate Agency LLC, overseeing the subsidiary\u2019s operation and growth. At Mannix, he will be working with local and national business clients who are looking to increase their business through digital marketing and search engine optimization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Originally from Utica, Volza graduated with a B.A. in English and gender studies from Skidmore College and resides in Saratoga Springs.
