He comes to NBT from Glens Falls National Bank, where he had responsibility for leading the Wealth Management Division and served on GFNB\u2019s senior management team. He was also the portfolio manager for the North Country Equity Growth Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Orta, a resident of Queensbury, graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a bachelor\u2019s degree in economics. He is a certified trust and financial advisor. <\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Orta serves on the boards of Tri-County United Way, Adirondack Civic Center Coalition and Queensbury Community Scholarship Association.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> * * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Lake George Land Conservancy (LGLC) announced the addition of <b>Robert Von Werne<\/b> to its board of directors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A long-time visitor to the Bolton Landing area, Von Werne lives on Long Island where he works in law enforcement. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He earned a master\u2019s degree in public administration from Marist College, and has extensive experience with land trusts throughout the country thanks to his involvement with a philanthropic association devoted to conservation causes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-31325\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/10\/p-brief-von-werne-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/10\/p-brief-von-werne-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/10\/p-brief-von-werne-65x65.jpg 65w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">* * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Peter Cormie Jr.<\/b>, an independent insurance agent located in Argyle, has been recognized by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cormie is now listed on the association\u2019s national directory of leading local Medicare insurance agents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> * * *<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-31354 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2018\/10\/p-brief-aarons.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"144\" height=\"167\" \/>Dr. Alexandra Aarons<\/b> and <b>Dr. Anne Evans<\/b> have joined the Irongate Family Practice in Glens Falls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Aarons attended Drew University for her undergraduate degree in neuroscience. She attended SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse for her medical degree.
