Vendors are continuing to sign up to participate in the first Adirondack Christkindlmarkt, slated for Dec. 7-9 at Charles R. Wood Park located on West Brook Road in Lake George.<\/p>\n
The name translates to Christmas Market in English. These markets originated in Germany centuries ago. Other countries and cities have adopted the tradition throughout the years, organizers said. For the first time ever, the events come to Lake George.<\/p>\n
People will be able to find gifts from nearly 30 artisan vendors under a heated tent in the Charles R. Wood Park.\u00a0 <\/span>There will be holiday light displays, fire pits, children\u2019s activities, live music and entertainment, and more to be announced!<\/p>\n This 3-day festival is happening rain, shine or snow and admission is free.<\/p>\n The schedule is Friday, Dec. 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8,11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 9, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n The Lake George Steamboat Co. will provide food and beverages including coffee, donuts, beer and \u201cgluhwein,\u201d a wine brewed with cinnamon and holiday spices. Dickinson\u2019s Delights will be making crepes on-site as well as offering macaroni and cheese, soups, pies, cakes, brownies and other baked goods.
