{"id":31463,"date":"2018-12-13T14:31:59","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T19:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/?p=31463"},"modified":"2018-12-14T09:36:05","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T14:36:05","slug":"north-country-orthopedics-joins-glens-falls-hospital-medical-group-services-expanded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/2018\/12\/north-country-orthopedics-joins-glens-falls-hospital-medical-group-services-expanded\/","title":{"rendered":"North Country Orthopedics Joins Glens Falls Hospital Medical Group; Services Expanded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Glens Falls Hospital is undergoing a major expansion in orthopedic and surgical services for the region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Privately-owned North Country <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Orthopedics has joined the Glens Falls Hospital Medical Group and is now an employed physician practice of Glens Falls Hospital, officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The surgeons and physician assistants from North Country Orthopedics will be collaborating with Glens Falls Hospital\u2019s Orthopedic Specialists of Glens Falls.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Members joining Dr. Thomas Varney, and Jordan Haskins, PA-C<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>are Dr. Mark Kircher; Dr.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Doug Kirkpatrick; Dr.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Andre Johnson; Dr. Adam Brod; Dr. Michael Rozell; Richard Robertson, PA-C; Patrick McDermott, PA-C; James Todt, PA-C; Christopher Stephens, PA-C; Laura Gosnell, PA-C; Jameel Ali, PA-C ; Adria Newberry, PA-C; and Tara Manny, PA-C.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">North Country Orthopedics is a well-established group of board certified orthopedic surgeons and allied health professionals, which has been an integral part of our community for greater than 30 years.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The fellowship trained surgeons specialize in joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, carpal tunnel release, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, and all aspects of fracture care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe are thrilled to have the North Country Orthopedics team join Glens Falls Hospital as employed providers,\u201d said Patti Hammond, vice president for physician practice management of Glens Falls Hospital.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cTheir expertise and diverse specialties will allow us to enhance the orthopedic and surgical services available in this region.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This team offers sub-specialty trained care in hand, wrist, shoulder, sports medicine, and general orthopedics allowing for an elevated patient experience right here in the North Country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Caring for patients of all ages, they also offer a walk in clinic for acute injuries allowing patients to see a dedicated orthopedic specialist for immediate treatment. North Country Orthopedics offers both non-operative treatments as well as surgical services to ensure that patients are receiving the most comprehensive and individualized care available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> \u201cWe are happy to join the Glens Falls Hospital team and look forward to providing locally based, sub-specialized care in the new state-of-the-art 14 Hudson facility,\u201d said the members of North Country Orthopedics in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">North Country Orthopedics will continue to practice at its current office at 25 Willowbrook Road, Suite 2, in Queensbury.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In mid-2019, they will be relocating to Glens Falls Hospital\u2019s new 14 Hudson location in Glens Falls and become part of the integrated Surgical Specialists of Glens Falls Hospital team.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Officials said at that time, Surgical Specialists of Glens Falls Hospital will expand to include orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and thoracic services all in one convenient location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Glens Falls Hospital maintains a service area that spans 6,000 square miles across five diverse counties.
