Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Also, Sandy DeKleine, Diamond Point resident and former receptionist of the Lake George Chamber, was honored with the Sapphire Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The awards were presented at the chamber annual dinner in October at the Queensbury Hotel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">STAR stands for Supporting Tourism Around the Region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Sapphire Award was established in 2017 at the Chamber\u2019s 65th Sapphire Anniversary Gala to honor a \u201cgem\u201d in the community. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI am extremely grateful and humbled by the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce\u2019s Board of Directors decision to present me with the STAR Award,\u201d said Moore. \u201cTourism is crucial to ensuring Warren County\u2019s economy is strong and that the quality of life for our residents and tourists is vibrant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Officials said Moore was selected for leading the effort to get the hospitality businesses open successfully throughout the pandemic while navigating the state restrictions and changing guidelines. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cHis leadership and collaborative spirit have continued throughout 2021 to procure vaccines, provide daily pandemic updates and more, directly impacting the Lake George regional hospitality industry and the overall visitor experience for the thousands of visitors who enjoy Warren County each year,\u201d the Chamber said..<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"> <span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_34792\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-34792\" style=\"width: 173px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-34792\" src=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/109\/2021\/11\/lg-chamver-awards-dekleine-c.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"173\" height=\"263\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-34792\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sandy DeKleine, former receptionist of the Lake George Chamber, received the Sapphire Award.<br \/>Courtesy Lake George Chamber of Commerce<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The award was presented by Frank Dittrich, general manager of the Inn at Erlowest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWhat I admire about Ryan Moore is his knowledge, tireless dedication, openness, straight forward approach and of course a great sense of humor,\u201d said Dittrich. \u201cRyan seemed to be at the center of everything surrounding our community efforts.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Chamber officials said DeKleine is committed to the well-being of the community through her frontline interaction with members, residents, visitors, and colleagues. Her efforts impacted the sustainability of many businesses, while she assisted with the J1 Visa Student Connection program, and offered direct referrals to a variety of attractions, activities, and dining. Her work was applauded by many in the business community. Gina Mintzer, executive director of the Lake George Chamber presented the award. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The annual dinner<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>included an annual report highlighting the Chamber\u2019s activities for the year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Chamber manages the Lake George Regional Convention &amp; Visitors Bureau, the TasteNY Market at the Adirondacks Welcome Center, and the Village of Lake George Information Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The evening program included keynote speaker Mark Mulholland, co-anchor of WNYT NewsChannel 13, who spoke about his own personal history of growing up in Whitehall and working in his family\u2019s restaurant.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Warren County Administrator Ryan Moore, was honored by the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of the 2021 S.T.A.R.
