Caelynn Prylo<\/b>, SUNY Adirondack\u2019s assistant dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Innovation, was installed as president of the Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY) at the organization\u2019s annual conference and 50th anniversary celebration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prylo has been a member of the CEANY Board of Directors since 2014, serving on and leading several committees, and acting as chair of the conference in 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prylo\u2019s team in SUNY Adirondack\u2019s Continuing Education and Workforce Innovation earned CEANY\u2019s James C. Hall 2021 Exemplary Marking Program Award for its enrollment and communications initiative throughout the 2020-21 academic year. The team surpassed its enrollment goal by creating new student communications, piloting marketing techniques and developing new multimedia content to promote enrollment in Continuing Education courses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prylo is also a board member of Saratoga Warren Washington Regional Workforce Development Board, coaches youth soccer and acts as judge for Odyssey of the Mind. She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from University of Vermont and a master\u2019s degree from University at Albany. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She has worked at SUNY Adirondack since 2014, bringing more than 18 years of progressive responsibility in higher education.<\/p>\n

Upstate Agency LLC in South Glens Falls, part of the Arrow Family of Companies, recently appointed Christopher Spofford<\/b> as senior risk advisor.<\/p>\n

The Albany-based Spofford has more than 25 years of insurance and risk experience in property and casualty, employee benefits and strategic planning. He provides customized solutions that address his clients\u2019 unique needs and safeguard their long-term profitability.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the Upstate Agency, Spofford was vice president with a privately-held, national broker. He achieved the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the Certified School of Risk Management (CSRM) designations from the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He also attained his Associate In Claims (AIC) designation from The Institutes \u2013 Risk & Insurance Knowledge Group.<\/p>\n

Spofford earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in political science from SUNY Plattsburgh and currently lives in Guilderland.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>The Warren County Historical Society announced that John \u201cJack\u201d Kokoletsos<\/b> of Queensbury is the winner of the 2021 Hon. John D. Austin Contribution to History Award. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The award is presented annually to a local person who has demonstrated a consistent dedication to Warren County and regional history and genealogy through work or volunteer service and is given in memory of the late Judge John D. Austin of Queensbury, who was a founding member of the society.<\/p>\n

Kokoletsos joined the WCHS as a volunteer in 2003, served on various committees, and was appointed to the board of trustees.\u00a0 <\/span>He was also a member of the French and Indian War Society, an organization dedicated to fostering an appreciation for the Hudson River, Lake George, and Lake Champlain regions. During his 12 years with this organization, he authored two articles for its historical journal.<\/p>\n

Kokoletsos will receive his award at the WCHS annual meeting on Saturday, Jan. 29,\u00a0 <\/span>at 11 a.m.\u00a0 <\/span>at the Fort William Henry Conference Center in Lake George.
