{"id":36631,"date":"2023-09-19T14:32:50","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T18:32:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/?p=36631"},"modified":"2023-09-19T14:32:50","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T18:32:50","slug":"business-briefs-september-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/2023\/09\/business-briefs-september-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Briefs: September 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <b>Adirondack Thunder<\/b> announced that the annual Thunder 5K Run\/Walk to benefit the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation is set for Sunday, Oct. 15, at<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>9 a.m. at Cool Insuring Arena.<\/p>\n<p>The 5k race will begin at the arena and continue down Glen Street.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Proceeds will go toward renovations at Cool Insuring Arena, which is over 40 years old this year, and in need of some upgrading<\/p>\n<p>The First 100 registered participants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>People can register for the event at runsignup.com\/Race\/NY\/GlensFalls\/5KThunderRun .<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>The <b>Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce <\/b>will hold its September mixer on Thursday, Sept. 28, at Bolton Landing Brewing, 4933 Lake Shore Drive, Bolton Landing.<\/p>\n<p>The first 50 guests through the door will receive a complimentary keepsake TD Bank, ARCC and Bolton Landing Brewing pint glass.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be a 50\/50 Raffle and chances to win a Bolton Landing Brewing Gift card.<\/p>\n<p>The cost is $15 for ARCC members and $25 for non-members<\/p>\n<p>Contact Carol Ann Conover at the ARCC for more information.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>The Killington World Cup Foundation (KWCF) has recently awarded 31 grants totaling $270,000 to Northeast area nonprofits in nine states for the upcoming ski season. <b>The West Mountain School<\/b> (WMS) it is one of the recipients.<\/p>\n<p>The grant award will help fund the WMS Building For The Future capital campaign for the race building expansion at West Mountain slated to begin this summer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Those who would like to contribute to the Building For The Future can contact WMS Vice President Sara Montgomery at West Mountain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Adirondack Thunder announced that the annual Thunder 5K Run\/Walk to benefit the Glens Falls Civic Center Foundation is set for Sunday, Oct. 15, at\u00a0 9 a.m. at Cool Insuring Arena.
