Geraghty received an overwhelming majority of votes from his colleagues on the 20-member Board of Supervisors at the board\u2019s annual organization meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored that my colleagues have selected me to chair our Board of Supervisors and I would like to thank everyone who supported me,\u201d Geraghty said. \u201cWe accomplished many good things in 2023, a balanced budget with a reduced tax rate chief among them, and Warren County is in good shape as we head into 2024. I look forward to working with each of my colleagues on the board, and all of our great Warren County employees, to continue to make Warren County an outstanding place to live, work and vacation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Supervisor Geraghty was nominated to return as chair of the board by Lake Luzerne Town Supervisor Gene Merlino. 2024 will be Supervisor Geraghty\u2019s seventh year as chair of the board, as he also spent four years as chair between 2013 and 2016.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><strong><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>Supervisor Geraghty has been Warrensburg Town Supervisor since 2007. He was elected town supervisor after a career working in management at the former International Paper Co. plant in Corinth.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his time as chairman, Supervisor Geraghty previously served as Warren County Budget Officer for six years, and acting Warren County Administrator for 1-1\/2 years between 2016 and 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Warren County Clerk Carrie Black, sworn into office as county clerk at the meeting, administered the oath of office for Supervisor Geraghty.
