The award recognizes a leader who supports and advances school library programs through collaboration, advocacy and educational leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The SLS Awards Committee, made up of school librarians, selected the recipients from nominations submitted by educators, librarians and administrators across the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth Amy and Marissa\u2019s outstanding dedication to fostering a culture of learning and innovation in the library ensures that students have the tools they need to grow and be prepared for lifelong learning. He has been with Arrow since 2019 and has more than 35 years of accounting experience, including 10 years in banking. A certified public accountant, he leads financial planning, analysis and budgeting and supports the company\u2019s financial strategy and performance. Kabalian earned an accounting degree from Siena College and an MBA from Union Graduate College.<\/p>\n<p>Amy Merchant is senior vice president and director of employee total rewards. She recently marked 25 years with Arrow and has more than 35 years of human resources experience. She manages compensation, payroll, benefits, human resources information systems and leave management.
